Annotation The course introduces the normative acts related to the construction industry in accordance with the Latvian Construction Sector Development Strategy 2017-2024 approved by the Ministry of Economics. This includes a number of actions to be taken to promote the development of the construction sector, as well as those relevant at EU level. The course provides information on current regulatory enactments, their hierarchy, construction policy guidelines, public participation opportunities and up-to-date registers, explanations, etc..

Goals and objectives
of the course in terms
of competences and skills
Aim: to develop knowledge and professional skills according to the requirements of the regulatory enactments in the field of construction in Latvia Tasks: 1) know and be able to apply knowledge of regulatory requirements in construction, 2) be able to apply knowledge of the general requirements for the design and execution of construction works, which are determined by the architectural quality of the environment, accessibility of the environment, etc. criteria, 3) be familiar with and comply with the laws, standards and other regulatory enactments pertaining to the management of buildings and structures, the reconstruction, renovation or restoration of buildings. Tasks: to know and be able use knowledge on laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia in building construction; to be able to use knowledge about general requirements of building design and building works performance which is set by environment architectonic quality, environment accessibility and other criteria. To know well about laws, standards and other laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia which are connected with housing management, housing reconstruction or renovation.
