				Study course builds understanding of history and future tendencies of modern information systems (IS). During the study course students will learn development principles of IS, will understand the role of information technologies in IS, will be able to participate in a discussion about future of IS and IT. Study course covers topics on use of IS and IT in business and society. Using examples students will understand principles of implementation of IS in a company, will be able to identify main security risks for IS and IT.. |

			The aim of the study course is to provide theoretical knowledge about the use of IS and IT in business and society. Objectives of the study course: - to develop an understanding of the history of development of IS and IT, and the ability to discuss the factors influencing it; - to develop an understanding of the most commonly used IS and their business use; - to develop skills to choose the appropriate IS type for the specific company; - to develop skills to justify the need for IS implementation; - to develop skills to discuss the prospects of IS and IT. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
